Favourite rooms of some favourite creatives

While a beautifully designed room by an achingly genius designer or decorator makes me exceptionally happy, I also find a lot of inspiration from the homes of bloggers, creatives, designers alike all to be uniquely inspiring. I love the personality it allows the reader to see, or perhaps give some more personal insight in to how these talented people operate. Below are a small handful of some of our favourite rooms from some of our favourite bloggers, creatives, writers. Enjoy.

The two images above are from Mark D Sikes Californian home. The entire house is gorgeous. Hard to choose just one room. I think Marks blog is the first visual my eyes have upon picking up my iPad in the morning.

This is a little detail of a room in Amanda Brooks English country home, her blog I love your style is ace.

India Hicks home and blog are an endless source of inspiration. I particularly enjoy her stories about her mother and father, Lady Pamela and David Hicks. Plus she has a brilliant sense of humour.
She knows how to do a Pink wall!

I could post several more but these couple are so lovely. Especially love to see her with the cat. Her stories about her array of animals are classic.

Sea of Shoes author Jane, is such a creative, sassy and unique young woman. Her home, her style and her pooches make up for very good reading. Not to mention her mother Judy who's blog Atlantis home I adore. Both favourite instagrammers of ours too. Stylish and talented pair.

Heather from Habitually Chic (our bible on all things chic) is the perfect example of an unaffected, personal, unique, beautiful and detailed home. A chic example of how to pull your most cherished pieces together to create a considered beautiful space. Another Instagram favourite, her Paris adventures are gorgeously documented in her posts. Plus she's written a book!? Such a talent.
In fact all our featured bloggers/creatives have really addictive Instagram finds, be sure to find them all for daily inspiration.

A current companion

The true Autumn weather has settled in nicely in Victoria. I love it. The colours in the sky, the leaves, the flowers, the smell of smoke from homes being warmed by a glowing cracking fire. A favourite activity is to be surrounded by books, magazines, cups of tea and dressed in the comfiest knitwear near a fire place, Grey skies outside, allowing the lamps and fire place to project the most perfect soft light.
As we are and i'm sure a lot of other people, collecting kindling, cleaning out the fire place and making the living room the key space for being at the moment. The fire place is the star of the show, rooms evolve around them , they are like the party host or a guest speaker.
Heres some fire place inspiration, From some of our favourite designers, magazines and blogs.

Via Architectural Digest-I could achieve some serious reading, work or creativity in this gorgeously layered space.

Brooke Sheilds living room via Architectural Digest- A perfect balance of feminine colours and heirloom pieces. I think this room sparked a frenzy for grey in paint stores.

Via a foo dog ate my home work- Raspberry, Tan , pink and blue and white. All layered over sisal. Some favourite classics of mine.

Also via a foo dog ate my homework- A clever storage solution for timber, Nothing worse than needing more timber when its raining outside, or for those in apartments, its a neat way to store your supply.

From Mark D Sikes home- One of our all time  favourites, not to mention that of many others.

A beautiful room by the master Michael S Smith, Huge fan of all his work.

This room in Elle Decor by my design hero Miles Redd, makes me seriously happy.

Brilliant spacial planning, colour selection and use of height in ceiling, Right? Via Elle Decor.
