Two reasons to be happy

Not only is it the weekend but its also school holidays which for a someone like me who is not the role model school mother is such a welcome break from routine .Sunday nights are far more pleasant on the school holidays .Last night was such a beautiful night on Balnarring beach I encouraged the kids into a swim even though it was bloody freezing. I know I keep saying it but there wont be many more nights like this.

William and paint

My eight year son William has always loved paint we have had a few incidents where he has used paint like moisturiser unfortunately once in the back of my girlfriends car but of late he has been applying it in the way it should be used and has  been producing some lovely work selling one much to his delight to  a friend. I really love the one above we have hung it in the kitchen.

After consuming easter buns and copius amounts if almond thins with cups of tea its hard to doing anything really active so lying on the couch with the ipad looking at blogs is a perfect way to deal with a carbohydrate overload. These pictures of Herve Pierre's appartment made me really happy.

SCHOOL MORNINGS

No matter how hard I try we very rarely get to school on time. I find it so hard to motivate four children to get in the car by 8.15 .I am often making the school lunches out of the boot of the car in the school carpark.  I only wish I could look as fabulous  as Sarah Jessica Parker does in this vogue shoot in my own morning chaos

Last Summer Days

Our back gate leads down a little track to the beach so I took advantage of the lovely day and went down with my youngest daughter as autumn is slowly creeping in and there wont be to many more days like these.I really do appreciate how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful environment.

Saturday

A little trip  to Red Hill and a stop in at the Redhill kitchen for some delicous pies, brownies and bread on the way I stopped and took a picture of  the St Georges church opposite the show grounds I love the old bell at the top and the simplicity of the red and white.

I found you

I am very happy because I lost my blog and I have just found it I have been extremely frustrated over the last couple of days looking and looking and thinking about the the kind of posts I could have been doing. I thought I might never see it again and it really did take me such a long time to set up as I am super slow on the computer anyway here we are reunited. Today I purchased the new VERANDA magazine in  a heart beat  just because the cover looked so gorgeous see below.

I feel as though this post should be apoligising for my last post as it wasnt  great, however I told one of my girlfriends that  I had started a blog and she sent me a text saying she couldnt find it so I suppose it doesnt really matter as no ones really looking anyway but Im sure all the great bloggers of the world started somewhere.This image is an arrangment of some of my ginger jars I import these along with the leather furniture  they are the first part of our range and will soon be followed by some beautiful tables timber stools and other accesories.Our ceramics are being stocked in several stores across Australia.Contact me for details

I am establishing this blog to talk about the great interior and homeware shops I come across in my work  and also document some of the goings on of daily life . My technical skills and spelling is not generally great however I hope to share  some lovely pictures and hopefully interesting thoughts to anyone who cares to take a look . It was hard to know where to start but my eldest daughter Olivia took this lovely picture of her little sister Drew this morning while we were having breakfast at the somers genral store which is really such a lovely place to start the day a friend of mine started the store about six years ago she did such a ripper job renovating the old store it has great food, a fabulous view of the sea and fantastic coffee The photo is  taken next to the old gelati van out the back .www.somersgeneralstore.com/
